At the beginning of 2016 I had been practicing regularly for 10 years. Yoga had helped me feel more in touch with my body, comfortable with my emotions and in tune with my purpose. I wanted to learn all I could about this powerful practice and decided to delve deeper by becoming a yoga teacher and learning how to share it's wisdom. The history and philosophy of yoga fascinates me. I enjoy teaching in a way that respects the many facets of yoga: meditating, breathing, moving, sound, gestures and rest.
I also teach yoga to support the experiences of being a woman. Our bodies are connected to the moon and the earth. At different times of our lives, year or month our energies are different. At times we are full of life and action, at other times we're ready to reflect, compost and rest. Being aware of the cyclical changes within us, helps us connect with our feminine power. I love to support women in embracing their everyday experiences as a spiritual practice. From menarche to menstruation, fertility, pregnancy, miscarriage, post natal recovery, peri-menopause, menopause and beyond.
The practice of Yoga Nidra has been a big part of my journey. I find it beautiful, soothing and transformational. I love to integrate it into my classes and help spread it's powerful blessings.
